I am extremely saddened to share that this dear sweet young woman lost her battle with cancer last week. Her mother told me that Nina was so looking forward to her 18th birthday on September 29th. It was not to be.
This beautiful hand made card was created by Nina, who was 16 at the time. She had been battling cancer since she was nine.
Her indomitable spirit and the grace of God had brought her through many harrowing life-threatening moments. After being hospitalized for over a year, we were able to build her a ramp that made it more possible to welcome her home.
She was a beautiful, talented, expressive and full-of-life person who brought sunshine into every life she touched!
